ISN Medical has launched the Future Scientist Program, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project targeted at secondary school students to empower them with the information that they need to make informed career choices. This maiden edition hosted six (6) secondary schools across Lagos State including Gbaja Girls Senior High School, Lagos City Senior College, Fazil-Omar Senior Secondary School, Birrel Avenue Senior Secondary School, Mainland Senior Secondary School, and Wesley City Senior Secondary School.
The students were welcomed to the ISN Medical head office on 29th – 30th October 2024 by the enthusiastic staff and management of the company. They were taken on a tour of the Headquarters, including the Biomedical Training School, where they were introduced to some of our solutions for Clinical Chemistry, Haematology and Genomics. Speaking about ISN Medical’s goals, he said “one of our goals as ISN Medical is to foster some of the best medical laboratory scientists in the world, providing them with the tools, training, and exposure that they require to measure up to any medical laboratory scientist anywhere in the world.”
On their facility tour, they met the Chief Operating Officer, Sunil Agarwal, who encouraged them to be solution minded in their approach to choosing a career path, especially in healthcare. He said, “everyone has the right to healthcare, but there is quality healthcare and there is bad healthcare. We want to provide healthcare that is accessible, affordable, and quality. So, you must think about how you can influence the policies positively, provide the right equipment, and be the best at what you do.”
